Dear SIDM Colleagues,
[cid:image001.png at 01CD0B4B.05C45CA0]This June, Tom Newman and I (co-authors of the textbook “Evidence-Based Diagnosis”) have once again organized a CME course titled "Evidence-Based Diagnosis: Advanced Workshop on Evaluating and Using Medical Tests for Clinicians, Educators, and Policy Makers." This year's course will be June 20 and 21 (Thursday and Friday). The social event will be a baseball game between the World Champion Giants and the Marlins at AT&T Park which is right across the street from the lecture site. See the attached brochure for more details.
Our target audience for this workshop consists of faculty members who lead journal clubs, government administrators who approve new tests and devices, policy makers who set testing recommendations, and clinical researchers who study diagnostic and prognostic tests.
The workshop emphasizes small group discussion and problem-solving. To get a flavor for the material that we cover, try taking the no-obligation, 12-question pre-test at
We hope to see you at China Basin Landing June 20-21!
