Tom toles has always been spot on dating back to his days at the buffalo news. The culture of medicine must share the blame for every patient safety and quality problem. The culture is part of the system. Hero worship has no place in medical care. Unfortunately, the news and popular media contribute by perpetuating this view, no personal offense to Sanjay Gupta.
