Thanks, everyone! I hope you find some thoughts, ideas, etc. In it to be of use. I also write a blog reflecting on the things I learn while in this role. If you're interested, please give it a look - http://librarianhats.net. If you have any questions or comments, I'm happy to chat.

Best,
Sally

Sally is my good friend and Massachusetts Home Girl/Informationist! She’ll be thrilled to know she’s been cited/quoted Lorri! And, maybe we can get some traction on the idea this coming year! Thanks for the shout out Lorri!

Subject: Informationists: a role on DxError research teams

For those of you that may have been in attendance at DEM2012; Elaine Alligood (Boston VA Informationista) made a comment from the floor that the skills of librarians should be considered more broadly as members of DxError reduction (and other) research teams.

This free article makes some good points to underscore Elaine’s comments and highlight a role for librarians that may be new to some of you:

Gore, Sally A.. (2013). "A Librarian by Any Other Name: The Role of the Informationist on a Clinical Research Team." Journal of eScience Librarianship 2(1): Article 6. <http://dx.doi.org/10.7191/jeslib.2013.1041> http://dx.doi.org/10.7191/jeslib.2013.1041

Enjoy!
