John: Well done! This is a great read and should be required reading for all physicians, not just those in training.

There are books out there on ‘rational’ approaches to reasoning in clinical decision making, and a growing literature on intuitive decision making.

You have achieved a remarkable and very readable integration of the two.

Why not make the book more available i.e. to those who can’t download it from ITunes?

As some of you already know, I have been working on a book on medical reasoning. I wanted to let you know that it is now published and is available on the iBookstore. It's free.

It is an iBook, which is a multi-touch book that is only readable on an iPad. The book is about intuition, so I tried to make it very intuitive. It has 135 illustrations and many examples. It is targeted at medical residents, but I think any physician may find it interesting. Many people on this listserv are referenced and quoted.

You have to download it to an iPad. You can search in the iBookstore on the title ("The Science of the Art of Medicine") or my name, or you can access it by going to this link:

Please take a look and let me know what you think. I would like to get the word out about this book, so pass the word along.
