CHF mislabeled as COPD

How accurate is a stethoscope on average in the hands of different people?
The stethoscope has been around forever and we still do not know the answer. Could this be the first study to be done in the NEW diagnostic era?
If a stethscope was a lab test would it have survived so long? If something is very inaccurate is it worth hanging on to? Do we need to prove it is inaccurate?
