I am a physician and a laryngectomee. Since becoming a laryngectomee I
devoted much of my efforts to educate otolaryngologists, and other health
care providers about their head and neck patients’ physical and emotional
needs, and the prevention of medical errors in the treatment of head and
neck cancer.

I am the author of “The Laryngectomee Guide” and “My voice, a Physician
Experience with Head and Neck Cancer”. Both books were endorsed by the
American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and the
Society of Otolaryngology and Head-Neck Nurses (SOHN). I was awarded the
2012 J. Conley Medical Ethics Lectureship Award by the American Academy of
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

I have given lectures across the country at medical center about the
prevention of medical errors. I would be happy to deliver such a talk also
at your hospital. You can view my recent lecture University Hospital in
Cleveland at

I am looking forward to hear from you.
