What a lovely and moving email.
I saw the announcement today in Information Today and sent Mark big congratulations and tweeted and posted this prestigious award. It's wonderful that you nominated him and an award he so deserves.
It is indeed a proud day for all of us and our community, as you said.

>>> Dear Diagnostic Error Community,
>>> I am so pleased to announce that our beloved leader Mark Graber, MD has been awarded the prestigious 2014 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award. Please see today’s press release from The Joint Commission below. While its impossible for me to write in this email all he has done (and in fact even the 3 page nomination letter I wrote was short), I can best summarize by saying that I consider Mark to be the father of the modern diagnostic error field and all his accomplishments and highly influential leadership to move us forward are truly deserving of this recognition. Please join me in congratulating Mark. It’s also a proud moment today for all of us, our entire community and especially our patients.
