I do believe that there is patient representation in the NQF - am I wrong about that?

Why aren't harmed patients on the panels of the NQF and other organizations? We are the ones who see issues but aren't solved nor are we given a forum where groups actively deal with the issues themselves.

Btw, J&J & the vaginal mesh lawsuit, and there is a J&J person on the board. Things like that are stuff we patients look for to see whether or not we have a voice and how they deal with those things.

Thanks for highlighting this. Also Bob Wachter interviews Christine Cassell, CEO of the NQF, and asks her about measurements for diagnostic error. The NQF remain very interested and keen to help with this issue...

The SPOTLIGHT CASE, Anchoring Bias with Critical Implications, demonstrates a number of cognitive biases and their effect on an ambulatory care patient. Very useful.
