Two physicians have asked me to call up next year (2016) to make an appointment - presumably because they did not have paper calendars for 2016.
I thought this could be a wonderful opportunity to lose patients and for somehow errors to occur.
In my article entitled "Errors in medicine - Do domething Now!," I recommended that each doctor's office should have a person assigned as a Safety Officer who would collect things that go wrong and discuss and correct them periodically. A paper or electronic calendar could be on that list!
Would tackling the simple things right now help? Maybe with supporting recommendations from speciality societies?
