A new article by Dana B. Thomas, MS, PT, and David E. Newman-Toker, MD, PhD, is published online in the journal DIAGNOSIS. It is entitled, "Diagnosis is a Team Sport--Partnering with Allied Health Professionals to Reduce Diagnostic Errors: A Case Study on the Role of a Vestibular Therapist in Diagnosing Dizziness". The National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine) touts utilizing the expertise of Allied Health Professionals to improve diagnostic accuracy.
