In advance of next month's annual meeting, The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) released an article today focusing on education to improve diagnosis: ‘New Focus in Medical Education on Learning to Recognize Causes of Diagnostic Errors’ <https://news.aamc.org/medical-education/article/new-focus-recognize-causes-diagnostic-errors/> appeared online in the AAMCNews <https://news.aamc.org/>. Please feel free to share with your academic colleagues.

Tom Gallagher, Jen Myers and I will be presenting a session at the AAMC meeting on this topic, the first time diagnostic error will have been formally discussed at these meetings. We are delighted to see that education on improving diagnostic performance is being addressed, and thank the AAMC for their interest, and for working with us a a member of the Coalition to Improve Diagnosis <http://www.improvediagnosis.org/?page=CID>
