> Dear Listserv subscribers,
> The deadline for diagnostic error and technology submissions is extended. Please see details below and respond with a submission by December 27th.
> For our first “What’s new in HIT” listserv event, please submit a description (50 words or less) of the product, app, device, or technology to improve diagnosis to <LISTSERV at LIST.IMPROVEDIAGNOSIS.ORG <mailto:LISTSERV at list.improvediagnosis.org>>. Include a hyperlink if available. Examples include decision support used by clinicians, websites or apps used by patients and everything in between. The main criterion should be its usefulness in improving diagnosis. Please submit for the first Quarterly update by December 27th, and we will post around the first week of January.
> Technology News submissions will be vetted and compiled by Dr Ted Winslow before posting to the Listserv. The items will appear under the subject: “Quarterly Update on Technology and Diagnosis”. Companies, inventors, researchers are all encouraged to submit their news. This quarterly summary is purposely created to allow companies to share information.
> Second category. Submissions related to health IT that are NOT commercial in nature. We also welcome and will post regularly other non-commercial posts related to your use of HIT or other tools for diagnosis. For example:
> >how have you managed to improve diagnostic processes with health IT - differential diagnosis generators, clinical decision support, computer- or mobile-based checklists, rapid access to APPS or group-derived “best practices.
> >what are your biggest obstacles, or what are your biggest “gripes”?
> Any information would be helpful. In this category of Listserv posts, we intend to promote a forum for ideas and informatics science of HIT. This category should not include commercial product news or links. Representatives from companies are encouraged to submit along with end users and patients, but these posts should focus on ideas and challenges, not a particular solution.
> Non-commercial ideas and solutions will be posted as they come in. Commercial related posts will be aggregated and posted quarterly. We want to stimulate a robust discussion on HIT and other ideas to improve the diagnostic process. We also welcome any other suggestions you have to improve the listserv or achieve our goals. Thanks.
