We have formed a nursing-focused community of practice around improving diagnosis, all are welcome to join.
Our goals are:
1- To raise awareness and engage partners among key nursing organizations and inter professional colleagues about the role of the nurse in improving diagnosis.
2- Enhance the role of the nurse in diagnosis by building training capacity, organizing collaborative networks, and influencing policy.
We would like to collate success stories, ranging from systematic interventions to personal anecdotes, of times when interprofessional teamwork improved diagnostic accuracy. We will use these stories in our efforts to raise awareness of the importance of a team approach to diagnosis.
If you are willing to share, please email both me at kgleaso2 at jhmi.edu and Becky Jones at rebejones at pa.gov.
Thanks for considering, and please comfortable reaching out to us with any questions about the community of practice.
