Maybe the best ‘improving diagnosis’ story of the decade: All the progress being made to diagnose concussion.  A fascinating review of the progress can be found here.    

And Dr Ann McKee was named “Bostonian of the Year” for her work on CTE (in a town where there is a LOT of competition for medical research notoriety).  


Although as a Society we continue to focus on improving healthcare systems, the diagnostic process, and clinical reasoning, you just can’t beat having a better test, coupled with enhanced awareness.
