The most recent episode of DJ Simulationistas—podcast of the Center for Medical Simulation—is a 12-minute discussion about navigating one's own feelings about giving and receiving certainty. It explores the emotional context for certainty. Eg, if you observe a colleague doing something that you think **may** be wrong or harmful (you feel uncomfortable but not 100% sure), how likely are you to "speak up"? How certain do you have to feel before you would interrupt someone else's flow, their progress in a procedure, etc? On the flip side of certainty, are you more or less likely to give someone permission to do something if they sound absolutely certain that they are right. Among other topics discussed is the intriguing category of "certainty light" ;-)

This podcast is always entertaining, as well as thought-provoking.
