New Yorker article on brain death getting a lot of attention

This very thought-provoking story involves ethics, diagnosis of brain death, family and cultural values, but there also seems to have been a delay in diagnosing and addressing the surgical complication which set this tragedy in motion. Long but worth the read: <>
