Mark, thanks for sharing that article, which I enjoyed.  At the bottom of that article page I found a link to yet another intriguing article, http://closler.org/clinical-reasoning/diagnostic-humility, which speaks directly to the challenge of Cognitive Bias (i.e. Overconfidence Effect), an issue that you and I have spoken a lot about in the past.  In this article, the author actually quotes Osler.
